The MOT, also known as the Ministry of Transport Test, is a simple process to check the roadworthiness of your vehicle. The idea behind MOT is to ensure that all the vehicles match the legal requirement for being on the road. It includes a set of internal and external checks to ensure they are all working as per the standard level.
At Acton Service Centre, you can opt for an MOT alone at 40 Euros, which is £14 less than the amount capped by the UK government. The Standard MOT service makes sure your vehicle goes through the usual visual inspection, ending with the production of an MOT certificate. In case the car does not adhere to the MOT standard, you can opt for repair and maintenance from the same garage.
If you’re looking for a general check-up for your car and have an MOT due, you can opt for any of the services – Interim, Full or Major, and receive a discounted MOT inspection along with it. With the Interim Service, your MOT price is reduced to £25, whereas with a full service, it is reduced to £15. With Major Service, which is one of the most extensive services we offer, you can opt for an MOT for free.

2. Packaged Services
You can opt for the Packaged services with an MOT, but if you have a valid MOT certificate, you can opt for individually packaged services for a complete revival and maintenance of your vehicle.
The Interim Service, which is recommended after every 6 months or 6,000 miles includes a £25 points checklist. These include changing engine oil and filters, fluid top-ups, general lights and horn checks, visual inspection of brake, engine leaks, tyre, steering and exhaust condition, along with the drive system. The price for the interim service depends on the ‘CC’ of your vehicle and ranges from £120 to £230.
Coming to the second intensive service, the full service offers a 40 point checklist which is recommended after every 12,000 miles or 12 months. The 40 point check-list offers a higher number of maintenance and repair points when compared to the Interim Service. It includes an oil change and air/oil filters, internal and vision checks for seat belts, lights, number plate, windscreen, washer, etc. Apart from these, it incorporates a deeper inspection into the engine and brake, tyres, exhaust, drive system, etc. The price range for full-service ranges £160 to £290, depending upon the CC.

The most extensive packaged service is the major service which is recommended after every 24,000 miles or 24 months, whichever comes first. It includes a 50 point checklist, which takes an in-depth look into the issues and repairs them so you can drive back home a vehicle that is almost brand new. The price for the same ranges from £230 to £500.
3. Individual Service
There are several individual services that you can opt for with Acton Car Service Centre. Of course, like a garage, we are always ready to help with any issues that you might be facing with your vehicle ranging from a slight mishap with the engine to a simple tyre repair.
